Oh couture! It's like the fantasy realm of high fashion where designer dreams are transformed into masterpieces of epic proportions - exotic fabrics, wild silhouettes, and glimmering adornments galore! As a kid I never liked couture much because I'd just find myself thinking "that's totally un-wearable", but the older I get, the more I see/respect fashion as an art. Some things aren't meant to be worn more than once, or sometimes ever at all - they simply belong in beautiful rooms neatly propped up on beautiful silk hangers surrounded by other beautiful untouchable shit. Perhaps a waste to some, but for me just the possibility of seeing such works up close makes me feel that much more creatively fulfilled. Daphne Guinness, we're all living vicariously through you!
