This awesome little film from Dior's new campaign has been making the internet rounds all week, and with good reason, the whole concept is just really fun and different from what we're used to seeing with these high end brands. Normally the girls are so stoic and serious and fancy, perfectly pressed and looking like a trillion bucks, but with the help of Marion Cotillard, the house of Dior is poking fun at the entire industry instead. Fabulously and hilariously done, les gars! And not for nothing but...those bags are fucking incroyable!

In an artistic world where everything's been done before, people using mediums like blood or shit or hair really don't shock & amaze that much anymore, sometimes it's not so much about thinking outside the box as it is taking that box and making it something totally unique, creating beauty out of a banal object no one else sees interest in. Anybody can take a shit or blow a load of jizz and think 'hey, that's sort of pretty and interesting' (it takes all kinds, after all) but my real props go to the guy out there who sees his Moms leftover lasagna trays and realizes their potential. Sure, Idan Friedman may keep the subjects of his aluminum sculptures rather basic, but then again he's titling the collection "ordinary people and disposable objects", so wild scenery isn't to be expected. I think some more large-scale pieces would be dope, but in the meantime I'm still super impressed by my mans ability to turn such boring shit into art. Thoughts?

I'm absolutely overjoyed about Christmas and the Holiday season this year. As stressful as it is emotionally and especially financially, there's just something so magical about all the festivities, a feeling of warmth that's nearly impossible to match. Last weekend the Dillz and I got our tree, which is adorable, perfectly shaped, and decked in a mix of colorful old school lights and some pretty silver ornaments. Ideally I'd have put only white lights on it because that's the ultimately classic tree look for me, but fuck it, color is more festive anyway! All we're missing now is some snow, a fireplace, a log cabin, and a set of cashmere throws. Santa, don't sleep...

God, this is so good. And once again I'm infuriated that I didn't think of it first! My homegirl TYJK sent it over to me yesterday but I've seen it on like 30 different websites since then, absolutely amazing. Apparently it's the first episode of a new web series, and I think my favorite bits are "could you do me a huge favor?" and when he & Juliette Lewis scream upon seeing each other - Graydon Sheppard is an observational genius! Kinda surprised there weren't more 'oh my gods' or 'OH EM GEEs' in the mix though. Man, imagine if we did a MOB version of this? Lots of cursing and dick jokes guaranteed.



Or perhaps a male version dubbed 'shit guys say' chock full of "dude!" "bro" and "I gotta take a dump". The possibilities are endless!
